Roger Legros
About the Winery
Champagne Roger Legros is a family-owned champagne house founded in 1974, located in the village of Prouilly in the Champagne region. The estate is part of the Saint-Thierry mountain range, about 15 km west of Reims, with vineyards spread across three villages: Prouilly, Pévy, and Trigny. As a récoltant-manipulant (grower-producer), Roger Legros grows its own grapes and produces its champagne on-site. The house uses primarily Chardonnay (30%) and Pinot Noir (70%) grapes, cultivated using sustainable viticulture practices. The estate has achieved Haute Valeur Environnementale (HVE) certification for its environmental stewardship. The champagnes are known for their unique character and taste that reflects the terroir of the Saint-Thierry mountain area.
“Independent family champagne house since 1974, crafting terroir-driven champagnes in the Saint-Thierry mountain area west of Reims.”
