About the Winery
Domaine de Boursac is a wine estate located in Ars, in the Charentes region of western France, near the historic town of Cognac. The Charentes is world-famous as the home of Cognac, but also produces Pineau des Charentes and a range of still wines under the IGP Charentais appellation. The region's maritime climate and chalky soils (similar to those of Champagne) create ideal conditions for producing both brandy and quality still wines. Domaine de Boursac produces wines that reflect this unique terroir, working with grape varieties such as Ugni Blanc, Colombard, and Sauvignon Blanc for whites, as well as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot for reds.
“Charentes estate near Cognac, producing wines in the region famous for brandy and Pineau des Charentes.”
