Philippe Caillol
About the Winery
Philippe Caillol is a wine producer in Pierrefeu-du-Var, in the Provence region of southern France. Provence is the oldest wine-producing region in France, with a winemaking history dating back to the ancient Greeks. The region is world-famous for its Rose wines, which account for the majority of production, but also produces excellent red and white wines. The Mediterranean climate, with abundant sunshine, warm temperatures, and the cooling influence of the Mistral wind, creates ideal conditions for grape growing. Caillol crafts wines that reflect the character of the Provencal terroir, working with classic grape varieties such as Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cinsault, and Rolle (Vermentino).
