About the Winery
Sarl Chartier (Les Trois C) is a wine producer in Juicq, in the Charentes region of western France. The Charentes is world-famous as the home of Cognac, but also produces Pineau des Charentes, a fortified apéritif wine made from a blend of grape must and Cognac eau-de-vie. The region's maritime climate and chalky soils create ideal conditions for producing both Cognac and quality still wines. Chartier produces Pineau des Charentes as well as other wines from the region, working with grape varieties such as Ugni Blanc, Colombard, and Folle Blanche. The estate represents the traditional artisanal production of this historic wine and spirits region.
