About the Winery

Champagne Copin-Cautel is a family-run Champagne house founded by Philippe Copin and Séverine Cautel in the village of Vandières, in the Vallée de la Marne region of Champagne. The estate spans 7.12 hectares across multiple villages including Vandières, Venteuil, Reuil, Orquigny (in the Marne Valley), Chouilly, Aÿ, and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ (in the Côte des Blancs). The vineyards are certified HVE Level 3 and VDC (Viticulture Durable de Champagne). The grape varieties consist of 53% Meunier, 30% Pinot Noir, and 17% Chardonnay. Philippe's grandfather co-founded the local cooperative in Vandières. The estate produces drinkable, juicy champagnes characterized by yeast influence and subtle use of wood. Their labels feature family photos, and cuvée names like 'Les Coudes sur le Zinc' (Elbows on the Table) reflect their philosophy of bringing people together. The estate produces approximately 60,000 bottles annually, with 30% exported.
