About the Winery

Grands Terroirs et Signatures is a collaborative project in Beaujolais that highlights the region's diverse terroirs. The initiative was started by growers representing three parts of Beaujolais: the northern part with its cru villages (Morgon, Brouilly, Moulin-à-Vent, etc.), the middle area (Les Loges) where they primarily produce Beaujolais Villages, and the southern part known as Beaujolais Pierres Dorées. Three wines are produced: a Beaujolais Pierres Dorées, a Beaujolais Villages from Cave du Château des Loges (a cooperative of 150 growers with 400 hectares), and a Chénas cru from the Cave de Chénas (80 grower families with 200 hectares). The wines feature colorful labels with symbols of the region painted by French artist Maud Briand, conveying the region's environmental awareness. This project demonstrates that Beaujolais offers many different styles of wine beyond the famous Nouveau.
