About the Winery
Domaine Philippe Schaeffer is a family winery established in Epfig since 1750 (with some records dating to 1588). Philippe Schaeffer manages 12 hectares of vineyards spread across Epfig, Dambach-la-Ville, Blienschwiller, Gertwiller, Obernai, and Heiligenstein. The domaine produces nearly 45 organic cuvées certified by Ecocert, including Crémants, white wines, Roses, reds, Klevener de Heiligenstein, Grands Crus Fronholz, Haut-Fronholz, and Hertenstein, as well as late harvest wines and Sélections de Grains Nobles. All seven Alsace grape varieties are cultivated: Sylvaner, Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Muscat, Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, and Pinot Noir. The estate also offers guest accommodation.
