Borie la Vitarèle
About the Winery
A 20-hectare estate run since 1998 by Jean-François Izarn using organic and biodynamic methods. Jean-François was an adept of gentle vinification with indigenous yeasts, respectful of the environment and terroir. This winemaker of great value, recognized and appreciated by his peers, prematurely left the scene in 2014. His wife Cathy brilliantly took over before passing the torch to their daughter Camille. The estate is located in the Saint-Chinian appellation of Languedoc-Roussillon, producing wines that reflect the region's schist and limestone terroir. The domain's approach emphasizes minimal intervention in the cellar, allowing the unique character of the vineyards to shine through in wines of great purity and expression.
“A 20-hect Saint-Chinian estate practicing organic and biodynamic viticulture since 1998, now under Camille Izarn.”
