About the Winery

The Domaine de Seresnes, a 6.5-hectare estate, has been known to Guide readers for years. Jacques Renaudat ran the estate from 1972 until his retirement in 2015, when his son Gaylord took over. Before returning to the estate, Gaylord worked for three years at the Forest Hill winery in Western Australia, then as a cellarman in Provence. The domain is located at the site of a former monastery, and the 13th-century chapel at the entrance to the cellar still features on the estate's labels. The vineyard is situated in the Loire Valley, where the family produces wines that reflect the unique terroir and their winemaking expertise passed down through generations.
