Vignobles jean-luc Sylvain
About the Winery
Jean-Luc Sylvain is a renowned cooper from the Libournais region who applies his craftsmanship not only to barrels but also to the wines he produces. His portfolio includes Château La Rose Perrière and Château La Perrière in Lussac-Saint-Émilion, a 14-hectare cru of monastic origin, and the Clos les Grandes Versannes, a Grand Cru of Saint-Émilion on one hectare planted on sands and gravels in Saint-Sulpice-de-Faleyrens, in his family for three generations. The Lussac estate is in organic conversion (HVE 3 certified and certified organic since July 2023). The red wines are aged for 14 months in barrels (50% new) and the whites for 10 months with bâtonnage. The reds are primarily Merlot with Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Malbec.
“A renowned cooper crafting wines across Lussac-Saint-Émilion and Saint-Émilion Grand Cru estates, certified organic since 2023.”
