Mas de la Devèze

About the Winery

The Mas de la Devèze is a family wine estate located in Tautavel, in the heart of the Agly Valley in Roussillon. Simon Hugues was a farmer and Nathalie worked in wine exports when they took over in 2012 a historic property that had been dismantled in the 1980s. They cultivate 32-34 hectares of vines on exceptional schist terroirs, producing a wide range of wines: Côtes du Roussillon, Côtes du Roussillon Villages Tautavel, Maury sec, Maury sweet white and red, Muscat de Rivesaltes, and IGP Côtes Catalanes. The vines are worked according to sustainable agriculture principles with successive ploughing and manual harvesting in crates. The grapes are picked at full maturity to reveal the full expression of the terroir. The estate produces powerful, seductive wines with great freshness.
