Scea Favre et Fils
About the Winery
The Favre family estate is located in the heart of the Oléron vineyards at the hamlet of La Fromagerie. This family business has been present for several generations and was created in 1900, practicing direct sales since 1968. Concerned about quality, human health, and environmental protection, the vineyard was converted to organic agriculture in 2010 - the first on the island of Oléron to do so. From vine management to the production of wines, pineaux, and cognacs, the team is driven by passion and quality requirements. The estate's 41 hectares extend across the island's diverse geological soils, producing typical and authentic products including their 'L'Insulaire' pineaux.
