About the Winery
Olivier Mayet, representing the 4th generation of winemakers, settled on the family estate in 1992. After leaving the cooperative, he made his first vintage in 2011 under the name 'Premier Acte.' When his daughter Axelle joined in 2021, new cuvées were created and the wine changed its name: Château Fongrenier succeeded Château la Ferrière. The estate is located in the Bergerac appellation of South West France, producing wines from traditional Bordeaux varieties on the limestone-clay soils of the Dordogne valley.
“A 4th-generation family estate in Bergerac, reborn as Château Fongrenier when daughter Axelle joined in 2021.”
