Domaine de Fa
About the Winery
Domaine de Fa is the Beaujolais project of the Graillot family, famous for their wines in Crozes-Hermitage in the Northern Rhône. In 2013, Antoine and Maxime Graillot acquired 5 hectares of hillside vineyards on granite soils in Saint-Amour and 3 hectares in Fleurie on the Roche Guillon site. The family, led by the renowned Alain Graillot, has maintained connections to their roots in southern Burgundy. The wines are farmed using biodynamic methods (certified organic) and vinified with whole bunches in concrete tanks, then aged in 20-30 hectoliter foudres. The style is described as 'controlled natural,' producing wines that are very accessible. The domaine produces wines from Saint-Amour and Fleurie appellations.
“The Beaujolais project of the Graillot family, with 8 hectares in Saint-Amour and Fleurie, farmed biodynamically and vinified with whole bunches.”
