About the Winery

Marie-Pierre Manciat is a sixth-generation winemaker who took over her family's estate in 2002. Her family has been making wine since 1871 in the Mâconnais region of Burgundy. Her father Claude Manciat was one of the top producers in the Mâconnais, and the family is among the few remaining vignerons in Mâcon who still harvest by hand. Marie-Pierre now maintains 22 hectares, having started her own project Lacrochette-Manciat in 1991 with 9 hectares of purchased parcels. She practices sustainable agriculture and believes in the importance of terroir, aging each wine differently in either stainless steel tanks or oak barrels depending on its personality. Her wines are known for their exceptional purity, texture, and drinkability.
