Château Demonpère

About the Winery

Château Demonpère, built in 1492 during the Renaissance, is a historic estate in the heart of Provence. Géraldine and Yves Journel took over in 2011 and continue the organic agriculture adopted by their predecessor. The 285-hectare property includes 218 hectares of forest, 50 hectares of vines, and 17 hectares of olive groves with 2,500 trees producing three different organic olive oils. The estate produces AOC Côtes de Provence and AOC Côtes de Provence Notre-Dame des Anges wines, as well as olive oils from Picholine, Frantoio, and Ascolana varieties. The property is currently undergoing renovation but already shines through the quality of its production.
