Domaine Devichi
About the Winery
Domaine Devichi was created in 1734 and has been in the Devichi family for six generations. Located in Barbaggio, a village neighboring Patrimonio in Haute-Corse, the estate extends over 29 hectares of vines on clay-limestone soil. Marie-Françoise Devichi is the first woman to head the estate, having taken over in 2012 after a career in tourism. She succeeded her father Jacques. The estate cultivates Niellucciu, Vermentinu (Malvoisie), and Muscat Petit Grains, producing wines of remarkable freshness and finesse. The wines are characterized by manual harvesting, natural yeast fermentation, and minimal intervention. Her Patrimonio 'Mlle D' Rouge has gained recognition for its gourmand fruit and astonishing freshness.
“A historic estate founded in 1734 in Barbaggio, Corsica, now led by Marie-Françoise Devichi, the first woman to head the 6th-generation domaine.”
