Cave d' Aléria

Aléria, Corsica, France

About the Winery

Founded in 1958, the SCA UVIB (Cave d'Aléria) is the largest wine cooperative in Corsica. Established in the eastern plain at Aléria, near the Diana lagoon, it vinifies approximately 1,400 hectares of vines belonging to 70 member growers. Through its 'Vignerons de l'Île de Beauté' (UVIB) brand, the cooperative has become the leading producer of Corsican wines, offering PDO Corsica and IGP Île de Beauté wines. The cooperative is proud to produce the only sparkling Muscat made entirely in Corsica, from vinification to bottling. Eric Pinelli, Deputy Director, has been instrumental in boosting the image of cooperative winemaking on the island.
