Domaine de Beyssac

About the Winery

Domaine de Beyssac was created from scratch in 2009 by Frédéric Broutet, a successful career changer who built this domaine ex nihilo. With 12.5 hectares of vines in Marmande in the Côtes du Marmandais appellation, the 'neo-winemaker' has demonstrated remarkable technological progress: eco-construction of the winery, organic agriculture from the start, and biodynamics from 2016. The estate is certified organic since 2012 and biodynamic (Demeter) since 2017. The vineyard features Merlot, Abouriou, Malbec, and Gros Manseng varietals on clay-limestone soils. The estate produces a diverse range of wines including red blends, a white from Gros Manseng, and a Rose. The wines are unclarified and unfiltered, with sulfite levels kept under 50 mg/l.
