About the Winery

Château de Targé is a historic wine estate dating back to 1655, located in Parnay in the Loire Valley. Originally a hunting residence for the private secretaries of Kings Louis XIV and Louis XV, the estate has been in the Pisani family for generations, with descendants including Edgard Pisani who served the French Republic. After Édouard Pisani-Ferry, an agronomic engineer, the estate is now run by his son Paul Pisani-Ferry. The 24-hectare vineyard is certified organic since 2020 and produces wines from Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc on the emblematic Tuffeau limestone soils of the Saumur region. The estate's cellars, dug into the cliff, conceal the remains of a wine press dating back to the 17th century. The wines have won over 120 medals since 2000.
