About the Winery

The Miquel family has been established in Minervois since the late 15th century. The first authenticated traces of the family on the lands of Barroubio date to 1405. Since 2000, Raymond Miquel has run the 60-hectare estate, of which 31 are dedicated to vines. The domain is a reference in Muscat-de-Saint-Jean-de-Minervois, with 23 hectares of Muscat à Petits Grains, and also produces interesting red wines in Minervois appellation from Grenache, Carignan, and Syrah. Since 2018, the wines have been labeled HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale). The hamlet of Barroubio sits at an altitude of 300 meters, at the northeast limit of Minervois.

Family estate since the 15th century, with 60 hectares including 31 of vines, specializing in Muscat-de-Saint-Jean-de-Minervois.
