Domaine Castell-Reynoard
About the Winery
Domaine Castell-Reynoard is a family estate in the Bandol appellation of Provence, created in 1892 by Henry Reynoard, a naval officer who developed a passion for wine. In 1927, the property changed its name when Henry's daughter Claire married Joseph Castell. Today, Julien Castell is the fourth generation to steer the domaine toward biodynamic farming. The 10-hectare vineyard is certified organic since 2014 and biodynamic (Demeter) from the 2017 vintage. The estate produces red, white, and Rose Bandol wines, with a focus on Mourvèdre, the signature grape of the appellation.
“Fourth-generation Bandol estate certified organic since 2014 and biodynamic since 2017, producing wines from 10 hectares.”
