About the Winery
Son of winegrowers, Jean-Jacques Bardin established himself in 1969 in Pouilly-sur-Loire on 1 hectare of vines bought from his grandfather. He today runs 45 hectares with three of his children. The estate produces Pouilly-Fumé wines from Sauvignon Blanc, benefiting from the Kimmeridgian marl and flint soils that give the wines their distinctive smoky, mineral character.
“Established in 1969 on 1 hectare, now running 45 hectares in Pouilly-sur-Loire with three of his children.”
