Paul Prieur et Fils

Route des Monts Damnés, 18300 Verdigny, Sancerre, France

About the Winery

Heir to a long line of winegrowers (eleven generations) established on the lands of Verdigny, Paul Prieur was one of the first Sancerre winegrowers to sell his production in bottles, in France and abroad. His heir, Luc Prieur, at the helm since 2022, runs a remarkably consistent estate: 19.5 hectares at the foot of the famous Monts Damnés hill. The domain was certified organic starting with the 2022 vintage. The vines are grassed and plowed, with manual harvest and a large workforce. The estate produces Sancerre Blanc from Sauvignon Blanc and Sancerre Rouge from Pinot Noir, including single-vineyard cuvées from Monts Damnés and Pieuchaud Silex.
