Olivier Cuilleras
About the Winery
Olivier Cuilleras and Marie-Claude are the fifth and sixth generation of owner-winegrowers at Domaine La Guintrandy, situated at the gateway to the 'Enclave des Papes' in the commune of Visan. The domain name derives from the Visigoth word Guntran, found in the archives of the Abbey of Cluny from around the year 1000. A well-preserved 13th-century papal boundary stone marks the beginning of the estate. Since 1850, the estate has been a family property. Olivier took over in 2000 and received organic certification in 2010. The 34-hectare vineyard sits at an altitude of 180-230 meters on calcareous clay soils, producing Côtes du Rhône Villages Visan, Cairanne, Vinsobres, and Côtes du Rhône wines.
