About the Winery

Château de la Brasse is a family wine estate built in 1830, situated at Charentay at the foot of Mont Brouilly in the heart of Beaujolais. In 1987, the property was acquired by the Romany family with 7 hectares of vines (1.4 ha of Brouilly and 5.6 ha of Beaujolais-Villages). In 2007, the family decided to take back the operation with Thierry Chalon, son of Madame Romany. In January 2015, Benjamin Chalon, son of Thierry, took over the family estate after obtaining his BTS in viticulture and oenology. The estate now covers 8 hectares of vines, producing Brouilly, Régnié, Beaujolais-Villages, and white wines. In 2020, the domain acquired a parcel of Régnié, one of the 10 crus of Beaujolais, enriching their range of wines. The estate welcomes visitors for tours and tastings.
