Mas Amiel, 66460 Maury, France
About the Winery
Before founding his eponymous estate, Aimé Guibert left his native Languedoc for Ireland, then for Niger where he managed a shea butter processing plant, before moving to Casablanca, then Bolivia to exploit cinchona bark. In 1970, back in France, this man in love with nature settled in the Gassac valley where he created Mas de Daumas Gassac, which became famous worldwide. The estate produces wines that are recognized internationally for their quality and expression of terroir.
“A legendary Languedoc estate founded by a world-traveler, producing wines of international renown.”
