About the Winery
Jacques Abonnat established himself in 1992 in Chalus, a picturesque village overlooked by a fortified castle. Covering 6.5 hectares (certified organic since 2023), the vineyard has been managed since 2007 by Xavier, Jacques' son. They cultivate Gamay, Pinot Noir for reds and Roses, and Chardonnay for whites. Since 2018, they have also been producing artisanal liqueurs from plants, fruits and flowers from their garden. The estate is a member of the Vignerons Indépendants de France.
“A 6.5-hectare organic estate in the Auvergne, producing wines and artisanal liqueurs since 1992.”
