Château des Brigands
La Tuilière, 83470 Pourcieux, France
About the Winery
The legend tells that the Chouans (royalist insurgents) once hid in Pourcieux where they concealed their hypothetical treasure. It is in tribute to this 'land of smugglers' that the Garcia and Pelenc families created their Château des Brigands. Sandrine, her sister-in-law Annie, her brother Stéphane and his wife Ludovic are the 'four brigands' who combine their talents to produce characterful wines. The 25-hectare family estate is located at the foot of Mont Aurélien, producing Côtes de Provence and Côtes de Provence Sainte-Victoire wines.
“A 25-hectare family estate at the foot of Mont Aurélien, producing characterful Provence wines.”
