Champagne veuve a. Devaux
About the Winery
Founded in 1846 by brothers Jules and Auguste Devaux, Champagne Veuve A. Devaux is a prestigious Champagne house that once had a prominent address on the Avenue de Champagne in Épernay. After five generations of family ownership, the last descendant without heirs transferred the house in 1987 to the Union Auboise, an important cooperative created in 1967 in the Côte des Bar. The house is now installed at the Domaine de Villeneuve in Bar-sur-Seine, in a superb 17th-century manor house set in a wooded park along the Seine river. Champagne Devaux ages its wines for at least 3 years, creating elegant and dynamic champagnes that reflect the character of the Côte des Bar terroir.
