About the Winery
Domaines Montariol Degroote was created in 1996 when Pierre Degroote and his partner Bernard Montariol acquired the Domaines Lalande and Galetis in Cabardès, a region historically associated with Pierre-Paul Riquet, founder of the Canal du Midi. The company has grown through successive acquisitions and now comprises ten châteaux and eight domaines, representing approximately 800 hectares of vineyards across Languedoc. The estates include properties in Cabardès, Minervois, and Faugères, producing a wide range of wines from high-quality grape varieties. Pierre and his son Stephan are deeply attached to their land and committed to eco-aware practices.
“A portfolio of ten châteaux and eight domaines spanning 800 hectares across Languedoc, founded in 1996.”
