About the Winery

Château Lecusse was created in 1994 by Mogens N. Olesen on land mentioned as a vineyard as early as 1640. The 80-hectare estate includes 52 hectares of vines, along with olive trees, truffle cultivation (2 hectares), and saffron production. Knight of the Order of Agricultural Merit, Mogens Olesen produces more than 300,000 bottles annually, making it one of the largest independent winegrowers in the Gaillac region. The estate practices sustainable viticulture (HVE certified) and produces a full range of AOC Gaillac wines including white, Rose, red, sparkling, and sweet wines. The estate also features a restaurant called La Grande Roche.
