Château Thenoux
About the Winery
Château Thenoux is a historic estate near Monbazillac in South West France, where numerous Gallo-Roman remains have been found, attesting to an ancient village on the site. Managed by Joëlle and Jean-Pascal Carrère since 2010, the 42-46 hectare vineyard extends across two communes (Monbazillac and Colombier) on clay-limestone soils. The estate produces white wines (Sémillon, Muscadelle, Sauvignon, Colombard, Muscaris) and red wines (Cabernet Franc, Malbec) in the Monbazillac and Bergerac appellations. The estate also produces wines under the Château le Vieux Manoir label and is certified HVE3 (High Environmental Value).
