About the Winery

Champagne Bourgeois-Diaz is a 7-hectare estate located in Crouttes-sur-Marne on the banks of the Marne River, one of the closest Champagne vineyards to Paris. Fourth-generation vigneron Jérôme Bourgeois-Diaz took over the family domaine in 2001 after a previous career in industrial sales. He converted the vineyards to organic farming and then to biodynamics in 2009, achieving Demeter certification in 2015. The estate grows Pinot Meunier (3.5 ha), Pinot Noir (2 ha), and Chardonnay (1 ha) on clay-limestone soils averaging 35 years old. Everything is done by hand, using a traditional 100-year-old Coquard press. No synthetic sulfur is used, and in most vintages, no SO2 is added at bottling. His wife Charlotte now works alongside him on the marketing side.

A biodynamic Champagne house near Paris, crafting pure and expressive Champagnes from Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay.
