About the Winery
Dominating the Yon valley, which gave its name to the prefecture of Vendée (La Roche-sur-Yon), this family estate has been run by Michel Arnaud since 1986. The 16.4-hectare vineyard still has a vine of Négrette aged 140 years, which was able to resist phylloxera. The estate produces wines typical of the Vendée region in the Loire Valley, working with local grape varieties including the rare Négrette.
“A family estate in the Vendée with a remarkable 140-year-old Négrette vine that survived phylloxera.”
