Château Beauchêne

1452 Route de Beauchêne, 84420 Piolenc, France

About the Winery

Heirs of a long line of winegrowers, Michel Bernard and his wife Dominique took over in 1971 the family vineyards (70 hectares) and created a négociant structure. Their daughter Amandine joined them in 2004. The family's history in Orange dates back to the 17th century, and they bought their first vines during the sale of national properties in 1794. The estate now spans three appellations: Châteauneuf-du-Pape (8 hectares), Côtes du Rhône Villages (14 hectares), and Côtes du Rhône (48 hectares). The red wines are made from Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre, with some vines over 100 years old, while whites use Clairette, Roussanne, Marsanne, Viognier, Grenache Blanc, and Bourboulenc. The estate has been passed down for over 200 years, with Amandine representing the 11th generation.

An 11th-generation family estate with 70 hectares across Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Côtes du Rhône, some vines over 100 years old.
