About the Winery

In 1994, Thierry and Nadia Janin took over an ancient métairie (tenant farm). They prioritize artisanal work, minimizing mechanization on their 7.5-hectare vineyard composed exclusively of old vines in the Moulin-à-Vent appellation. The vines are around 45-55 years old, with some up to 70-80 years old in the 'La Rochelle' and 'Rochegrès' parcels. Thierry works according to organic principles and in most years the grapes are whole-bunch fermented and aged in old foudres. He owns 1 hectare directly and works 6.5 hectares on a métayage (sharecropping) basis. The wines are aged in old oak foudres with minimal doses of sulfur dioxide.

An artisanal Moulin-à-Vent estate with 7.5 hectares of old vines, practicing organic principles and traditional whole-bunch fermentation in foudres.
