About the Winery

Founded in Bordeaux in 1949 by nine brothers and sisters, the Castel Group has experienced considerable growth, becoming the largest wine producer in France and the third largest in the world. The empire extends from Bordeaux to the African continent. In addition to its numerous brands, the group owns approximately twenty properties across the French wine regions. The Castel family has been a major force in the French wine industry for over 70 years, with a portfolio that spans from everyday table wines to prestigious châteaux.
