Sas famille Auger

Puisseguin, 33350 France

About the Winery

Château de Môle features an imposing master's house built in 1727 with an adjoining chai dating from 1830. Eric Auger, an entrepreneur from northern France, acquired the property in 2006. The estate spans 20 hectares of vines in Puisseguin-Saint-Émilion, on a clay-limestone plateau near Saint-Émilion. Seven generations of the same family had transmitted the property before the Auger family took over. The vineyard is planted with 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. The estate has invested heavily in renovation and opened luxury bed & breakfast accommodation. The wines are aged in a cellar carved directly into the rock, benefiting from natural ventilation and humidity.
