Domaine du Grand Fontanille
About the Winery
Between tradition and renewal, in the heart of the Alpilles, lies Le Domaine du Grand Fontanille, a secret place nestled in the forest. The setting extends over 60 hectares, including 4.5 hectares of vineyards, a 17th-century bastide with a majestic double staircase, formal gardens and fountains. The vines have been cultivated organically since the beginning, with Ecocert certification. Nicolas Jourdan, the new manager, comes from a family of winemakers. Trained in Burgundy and at Domaine Hauvette, he is now the estate's winemaker and oenologist. The domain produces organic wines including Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence AOC and IGP Alpilles. Visitors can taste and buy wines directly at the property from Monday to Friday, 10am to 6pm, and by appointment on weekends.
