Domaine de Tanella

Route de Pianottoli, 20131 Sainte-Lucie-de-Porto-Vecchio, Corsica, France

About the Winery

Domaine de Tanella was created in 1855 by Jean-Baptiste de Peretti della Rocca, who was taken by the beauty of the rolling hills and granite soil of the Corsican south. The name 'Tanella' comes from the rocks ('tane') of the many mills ('tanelle') that dot the area. Located in the Figari AOC, the 76-hectare estate is the largest in the appellation, led by Jean-Baptiste's children Alexandra and Marc-Aurèle. In 2020, Alexandra de Peretti della Rocca was named 'Vigneronne de l'année' by the Revue du Vin de France. The domaine produces red, white, and Rose wines from local Corsican varieties including Niellucciu, Sciaccarellu, and Vermentino, earning HVE Level 3 certification for their sustainable practices.

A historic 76-hectare Corsican estate founded in 1855 in Figari, now led by Alexandra and Marc-Aurèle de Peretti della Rocca.
