Cave de la Grande Brosse

1180 Plaine de la Grande Brosse, 41700 Chémery, Loire Valley, France

About the Winery

The Cave de la Grande Brosse is an ancient quarry believed to date back to the 10th century, whose stones were used to build the foundations of churches and famous châteaux in the Loire Valley, including Chambord and Cheverny. Owner and winemaker Philippe Oudin has led the domaine since 1989. Located on the edge of the Sologne at the gates of the Loire Valley, the cave offers guided tours of its galleries situated 40 meters underground, followed by tastings of the estate's wines. The domaine creates original wines, warm and timeless, in appellations including Touraine and Touraine Chenonceaux.

An ancient 10th-century quarry 40m underground, producing original Loire Valley wines led by Philippe Oudin since 1989.
