About the Winery

The grandfather of Jean-Claude Sol, an agricultural worker who emigrated from Spain in 1913, rebuilt his life near the cathedral of Elne, founding a domaine that gradually grew to reach 60 hectares. The vineyard is mainly planted in the south of the Pyrénées-Orientales department, between Perpignan and Collioure, and has also expanded north to the acidic soils of the Fenouillèdes. In 2016, Jean-Claude Sol moved the tasting cellar from Elne to the Saint-Martin hillsides, at the heart of the property. The estate is in organic conversion, reflecting the family's commitment to sustainable viticulture. The wines express the diverse terroirs of the Roussillon, from Mediterranean coastal influences to the schist soils of the hinterland.
