About the Winery
Jean Bouldy, a vigneron-tonnelier (winemaker-cooper), crossed the Dordogne River in 1951 to establish himself on the gravelly soils of the René sector, in the southwestern part of the Pomerol appellation, north of Libourne. His son Jean-Marie took over the estate in 1980, expanding it to 11 hectares, and converted the property to organic agriculture, achieving certification in 2012. The estate produces wines from the Pomerol and Bordeaux appellations, crafting elegant wines that express the gravel and clay terroir of this exceptional region.
“A family estate in Pomerol since 1951, converted to organic agriculture and spanning 11 hectares.”
