About the Winery

This 6.5-hectare property is now run by Xavier Barbe, following the 2013 retirement of Laure Martin, wife of Georges, who founded the domain in 1970. The estate specializes in Bugey-Cerdon, a sparkling Rose made by the méthode ancestrale from Gamay and Poulsard. Cerdon is a unique wine, pink and fruity with fine bubbles and low alcohol content, produced by stopping fermentation through temperature reduction and allowing it to continue in the bottle. Xavier Barbe maintains the estate's reputation for quality Cerdon, one of the most distinctive wines of the Bugey region.
