About the Winery

Based in Ruillé-sur-Loir, Pascal Janvier cultivates approximately 7 hectares (8 ha of Jasnières and 4 ha of Coteaux-du-Loir, though this totals more than 7 ha). A former butcher turned winemaker, he works with Chenin Blanc and Pineau d'Aunis on small, human-scale vineyards that allow meticulous care of his products. The Coteaux-du-Loir and Jasnières appellations are among the Loire Valley's smallest and most distinctive, known for producing mineral, long-aging whites from Chenin Blanc on flint and clay-limestone soils. Janvier's wines are acclaimed for their exceptional value and ability to age 7-10 years or more.
