Domaine Comte Peraldi
About the Winery
Established on the outskirts of Ajaccio, this domain was formed before the Revolution by distant ancestors of the current owners. It was acquired in 1965 and restored by Louis de Poix, a promoter of the Ajaccio appellation. After the premature death of Guy de Poix in 2011, his son took over, maintaining the great reputation of this vineyard, one of the largest in the appellation with 55 hectares. The domain produces wines from indigenous Corsican grape varieties including Niellucciu, Sciaccarellu, and Vermentinu. The estate is in organic conversion, reflecting a commitment to sustainable viticulture on the Mediterranean island.
“One of Ajaccio's largest estates at 55 hectares, with a history predating the French Revolution, now in organic conversion.”
