About the Winery
The Lorang family has been cultivating vines since the 17th century, though the first parcel was only acquired in 1952 by Philippe Lorang's grandfather. Today, Philippe Lorang operates 9 hectares around Katzenthal, northwest of Colmar in the Alsace wine region. The estate produces wines from classic Alsatian grape varieties including Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris, and Pinot Noir, grown on the region's distinctive granite and clay soils. The family's long history in viticulture reflects the deep-rooted winegrowing traditions of the Alsace region.
“A family estate with 17th-century roots, cultivating 9 hectares around Katzenthal in the heart of Alsace.”
