About the Winery

Château Loudenne is a 17th-century pink chartreuse estate with a 19th-century winery and small port, known as the 'Pink Château' for its distinctive pink stucco exterior. It is a major tourist destination in the Médoc, featuring a collection of antique roses. The estate encompasses 130 hectares, of which 62 are planted with vines on gravel ridges along the Gironde estuary. Passed from the Lafragette family to the Chinese spirits group Moutai in 2013, it is now certified organic agriculture (AB). Château Loudenne is the only estate in the Médoc with a private dock for boat arrivals. The property produces red, white, and Rose wines, with the white wine being the oldest white wine production in the Médoc, dating back to 1880. The estate has been certified High Environmental Value (HVE 3) since 2017.
