Domaine Lafage
About the Winery
Domaine Lafage is a family-owned estate founded in 1798 in the Roussillon region of southern France. Jean-Marc and Éliane Lafage, the seventh generation of winemakers, have transformed the domain into one of the Roussillon's most respected producers. After gaining winemaking experience abroad, the couple returned to Roussillon in 1995 to build a project reflecting their vision. The estate spans approximately 200 hectares across three complementary terroirs: the Agly Valley for richness, Les Aspres for elegance, and the Côte Maritime for freshness. They cultivate vines using sustainable farming practices and regenerative viticulture, including biochar, tolerant grape varieties, weather stations, eco-grazing, and agroforestry. The domain produces a wide range of wines including Côtes du Roussillon, Côtes Catalanes, Maury, and Muscat, utilizing local grape varieties such as Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Macabeu. Known for excellent quality-to-price ratio, their wines are exported to over 40 countries.
